Energy-efficient hall cooling

Energy-efficient and CO2-saving hall cooling with Kappa CoolFactory

The art of hall cooling is to achieve the desired temperature level in the most energy-efficient and CO2-saving way possible. The market offers many systems and components for this. But only Kappa CoolFactory is able to coordinate these components with the utmost precision and automate them depending on the general conditions. The concept also saves many times more energy than conventional systems.

The basic requirements of a modern hall cooling system can be divided into two types of cooling requirements:

1. Comfort cooling

With comfort cooling, the focus is on people and their well-being. The cooling ensures a pleasant and performance-enhancing indoor climate. It is often sufficient to keep the hall temperature noticeably below the outside temperature.

2. Process cooling

Process cooling focuses on the requirements of the work and production process. Cooling is a key factor for manufacturing accuracy, productivity and therefore cost-effectiveness.

In addition to these two basic requirements, there are also the following specific requirements:

3. Energy efficiency

Energy efficiency is an important factor in hall cooling. Cooling should be designed in such a way that it consumes as little energy as possible to maintain the desired room temperature.

4. Air quality

Good air quality in the hall is important to ensure the health, well-being and productivity of employees. Cooling should also ensure good air quality.

Energy-efficient and low-CO2 hall cooling with Kappa CoolFactoryTM

Kappa CoolFactoryTM combines air technology, energy technology and automation technology in one system. Cooling takes place via cooled supply air. It is introduced into the hall without flow. CoolFactoryTM works with the physical concept of air diffusion specially developed by Kappa. It ensures uniform cooling that is perceived as pleasant. Conditioned supply air is distributed in the hall areas using Kappa DiffusorsTM . It is pushed under the heated hall air like a lake of fresh air - without mixing with it. The warm and polluted hall air is displaced upwards. This results in noticeable but absolutely draught-free cooling. Depending on requirements, CoolFactoryTM can be used to cool the entire hall or individual work areas.

The used, warm and possibly polluted air is removed from the hall at the ceiling. The targeted dissipation of heat prevents heat build-up in the hall and significantly reduces the cooling energy required.

The system does not require any additional structural measures such as concrete core activation.
